Up selling is clearly the business model. The work completed was good, but every stage of the job is at additional cost. The plumber had just completed $1500 worth of work, and then a second plumber showed up for an unexplained reason and they tried up sell more work. They inspected the entire house and gave some recommendations on items to fix. I was actually looking to install 2 new toilets anyway so I asked for a quote for them, and was told it was $150ish extra just to receive a price. 2 guys here already, but extra just to quote. The last price I had was $3000 for both, and at this stage if it came in close to that I would have approved the works. Denied based solely on the fact they didn't spend 5 minutes extra to do a quick measure while already here.
